Across Europe our vital public services are under threat from austerity measures, many of which are ideologically driven. Nevertheless, there remain areas of the EU’s budget where a touch of austerity would be a good thing. Expenses such as the European House of History are unjustified at any time and ludicrous in the current political climate. My votes reflect the need for the EU to invest in jobs, the economy and social justice.
