Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) ‒ The debate on this report coincides with the UK government's announcement that it intends to privatise the Green Investment Bank. It is vital that the government retains a stake in this bank and that it continues to operate under its original purpose, namely as a green bank. The bank is vital for investments in the green economy which are in turn important for the creation of green jobs.
