Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) ‒ The regulation on the financing of the CAP provides for additional financial support to agriculture in the event of an unforeseen crisis. This is entirely justifiable and has the potential to protect fragile rural communities in any Member State in the event of such a crisis. I accordingly voted in favour of this report and condemn the short-sightedness of MEPs voting against.
