Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) – It is important that individuals who are under criminal investigation have appropriate access to a lawyer. My own government is currently steering a bill through the Scottish parliament which addresses the issue. This legislation will however offer Scots legal protection when they travel elsewhere in the EU.
