Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) – Article 2 of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation outlines the fundamental principles within which it operates and, of these, the first is a 'mutual respect for the independence, sovereignty, equality, territorial integrity and national identity of all nations'. I wholeheartedly endorse that principle and welcome this House's overwhelming decision to do likewise.
