Hudghton (Greens/EFA) - I voted against the report and against the directive just as I had done the first time this proposal came before us. Port owners and managers did not want the Directive. Employees and trade unions did not want it. I am pleased that MEPs have once again rejected the proposal and I hope that this time the Commission will listen to our democratic voice, not attempt to reintroduce their unwelcome plans.
